Preh, Inc. a leading international supplier of automotive interior control systems, sensors and electronic control units, was named the winner of the Seventh Annual MERLIN Award for Excellence in Business for 2007 in a gala ceremony on May 4.

The award gala is the signature event of the German American Chamber of Commerce in which companies with a presence in both the U.S. Midwest and Germany are selected as exemplifying outstanding achievements in German- American business.

Named after one of the founders of the German American Chamber of Commerce, Peter H. Merlin, the festive gala evening takes place annually in an exclusive and elegant location in downtown Chicago.

Approximately 300 top executives of the German American Business community of the Midwest and their guests attended the event.

Chamber members nominate companies engaged in German American business in the Midwest that offer a unique product, innovative service or breakthrough technology, or feature exemplary international business practices and consistent creative management.

"We are proud to be selected from a strong pool of candidates for the MERLIN Award 2007. The award testifies that we are on the right track with our business strategy for North America," said Dr. Michael Roesnick, president and CEO of Preh GmbH.
